What Are NDIS Consumables?
Depending on your package, the NDIS can cover consumable everyday items you may need because of your disability support needs. For example, continence products or low-cost assistive technology and equipment to improve your independence and/or mobility.
The NDIS would typically fund:
- Continence consumables: urinary catheters, mattress protectors, continence pads or absorbent pull-ups or briefs.
- Early childhood continence consumables: pull-up nappies, mattress protectors, bags and wipes.
- Woundcare supplies: gauze, bandages, dressing and tape to dress wounds, pressure relief cushions, moisturiser, barrier creams and non-PH wash if used to prevent wounds, pressure wraps.
- Nutritional supplements: enteral feeding products, food preparation products, modified eating aids.
- Mobility aids: wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, crutches and canes.

What NDIS Products Do We Offer
NDIS Consumables fall under the Core Supports NDIS budget, which is intended to help you fund everyday items and activities that are ‘reasonable and necessary’. The Consumable products and devices that you might need for your support needs may include continence and wound care products, urology and nutrition items, and specific products for children and baby.
The NDIS would typically fund:

How to Use Your NDIS Funding to Buy Consumables
If you have a NDIS plan you will need to set up your NDIS participant account.
Setting up an account with Atlas McNeil Healthcare Community is straight forward; we use one simple NDIS Service Agreement form to collate all the required information.
